I have over 14 years professional experience, gained on a wide range of projects at all stages of design, from initial concept to construction. I have worked on projects at all scales; from house extensions, to complex commercial buildings and large-scale masterplans.
I gained my first degree from the University of Cambridge in 2001, and postgraduate diploma from Sheffield University in 2004. I completed my professional qualification at the Architectural Association in 2008.
Prior to completing my professional qualification I worked in London for a number of years, in roles at PRP Architects, and ECD Architects. At ECD Architects I worked on the Wolseley Sustainable Building Centre: a high-profile project to showcase sustainable technologies.
Since becoming a qualified architect I have worked at various firms in Bristol and Bath, including Alec French Architects, Mark Wray Architects, and Place by Design. At Alec French Architects, I led the design of a number of projects including the Kingswood Locality Hub, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre.
I have particular experience of residential projects, having worked on flat and house designs for large residential developments, on behalf of various developers and housing associations.
My experience on small domestic projects includes one-off houses in Bristol (unrealised), a development of three houses in Taunton, an apartment in a Grade 1 listed building in Bath, an extension to a modernist house in Winchester, and the refurbishment and extension of a terraced house in Bath.
