This large, existing bathroom had dated, worn-out fittings, and was in need of complete refurbishment.
The layout of the room was re-planned, to make the most of the space, and allow for a substantial amount of built-in storage.
The existing water-damaged floorboards were replaced, and the existing ceiling replaced with plasterboard on a metal frame system. A triple-glazed window was fitted, and the external walls insulated, to reduce heating costs.
High-quality Ideal Standard sanitaryware (with water-saving fittings), and large-format porcelain tiles were used, to create a contemporary, minimal look.
Every component of the built-in cupboards was drawn using CAD software, including holes and rebates for concealed fixings. The components were then manufactured from moisture-resistant MDF, using a computer-controlled machine. The parts were professionally spray-painted, before being delivered to site and assembled.
